The Living Line: family friendly workshops

Workshop23/07/22
12pm, 1pm

Join The Line for family-friendly drawing workshops inspired by East London based illustrator Somang Lee’s new installation The Living Line.

Spend time on The Line on Saturday 23rd July at our free drawing workshops to celebrate launch of The Living Line. The relaxed, all-abilities workshops will take place at Pudding Mill allotments, a green urban space at the southern entrance to Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park. We will spend time looking closely at plants and flowers featured on The Living Line, which celebrates the abundance of nature, planting and biodiversity found locally. You will be encouraged to look at the detail of flowers and be supported to make your own illustrations to take home.

The Living Line is a 146 metre–long illustration featuring more than 50 watercolour illustrations of plants, animals, birds and insects between Pudding Mill Allotments and the Greenway. The launch on July 23rd marks the 10 year anniversary of the 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games.

We will be running two workshops on the afternoon of Saturday 23rd July, at 12:00-12:45 and 13:00-13:45.

Booking is essential. Places are limited to 15 per workshop, so if you are unable to join please let us know as soon as possible so we can make space for those on the waiting list.
