The Line exists to engage, educate and inspire the public. The Line introduces works of art by leading international artists into a unique urban wilderness, providing learning and wellbeing benefits for local communities and visitors through engagement with art and nature. We believe that our programme offers a rich source of inspiration for outdoor learning and creative expression, promoting imaginative and critical thinking in ways that may not be possible in traditional learning environments.

There are two key strands to our Learning programme:

Learning resources for schools – produced with artists and education consultants, these resources provide all the materials teachers need to enhance their teaching of the curriculum.
Creative activities for families and friends – inspired by the artists on The Line, these activities provide fun and inspiration to complement a visit or simply to enjoy at home.

Artsmark

The Line is proud to be working in partnership with schools and settings on their Artsmark Award journey. By supporting Artsmark settings, we’re helping put the arts at the heart of education, inspiring young people to create, experience and participate in high quality arts and culture.
