Inside Out: Phytology Site Visit

Join artist Melissa Moore and the Phytology team on a tour of Bethnal Green Nature Reserve.

Melissa Moore, artist and Course Director of London College of Fashion, is leading a tour of Bethnal Green Nature Reserve with the artist-led cultural institute, Phytology. They will give key insights into the motivations and activities of the institute, and Melissa will discuss her collaboration with Phytology, a ‘Tree School’ in the reserve.

For those attending the Inside Out Roundtable Discussion later in the afternoon, transport will be provided by Bethnal Green Nature Reserve and Wash Houses (London Metropolitan University) in Aldgate.

This event is part of a three-day public programme, Inside Out: Public Art, Nature and Mental Wellbeing. Inside Out builds on Madge Gill: Nature in Mind, a multi-site exhibition of the late Newham-based artist’s work and a series of creative workshops in collaboration with Mind. Focusing on the link between nature and mental health, The Line seeks to facilitate dialogues between artists, cultural organisations, and mental health specialists through an engaging three-day programme that consists of creative activities, site visits and a roundtable discussion.

This programme would not have been possible without the support of our partners and funders, London Metropolitan University, Mind Tower Hamlets and Newham, National Lottery Heritage Fund, St William, Royal Docks Team, London Borough of Newham, London Legacy Development Cooperation and Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park.
