Inside Out: Birdwatching

Join Ben Bishop for a birdwatching session at Cody Dock.

Cody Dock Environmental Manager, Ben Bishop, will lead a birdwatching session that will introduce participants to local species. They will lead a conversation on birdwatching as a mindfulness activity, inviting an opportunity for participants to share thoughts and personal anecdotes on the importance of birdwatching.

This event is part of a three-day public programme, Inside Out: Public Art, Nature and Mental Wellbeing. Inside Out builds on Madge Gill: Nature in Mind, a multi-site exhibition of the late Newham-based artist’s work and a series of creative workshops in collaboration with Mind. Focusing on the link between nature and mental health, The Line seeks to facilitate dialogues between artists, cultural organisations, and mental health specialists through an engaging three-day programme that consists of creative activities, site visits and a roundtable discussion.

This programme would not have been possible without the support of our partners and funders, London Metropolitan University, Mind Tower Hamlets and Newham, National Lottery Heritage Fund, St William, Royal Docks Team, London Borough of Newham, London Legacy Development Cooperation and Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park.
