Wellbeing Walk (London Festival of Architecture)

Health and Wellbeing27/06/2026 10am – 12pm
Back

Join us for a guided wellbeing walk along a section of The Line, where participants will encounter up to 13 public artworks set against the backdrop of the River Lea and East London’s waterways.

Led by a Mindfulness practitioner from The Line alongside one of our Youth Guides, the walk uses nearby waterways to explore themes of memory, belonging and connection. As you move through the landscape, the group will pause to explore artworks, notice local wildlife and changing surroundings and take part in gentle mindful activities designed to encourage reflection and presence.

Participants will be invited to engage with simple breathing exercises, mindful observations and creative prompts. Completed at a gentle pace, the walk lasts approximately 2 hours with opportunities to stop and rest if required. The atmosphere is welcoming and relaxed, creating space to enjoy the outdoors, meet other people, and reconnect with the local environment.

(Please arrive 5-10 minutes early to ensure you can find the group)

Accessibility
The walk takes place at a gentle pace with opportunities to stop and rest along the route.
There are accessible toilets at Cody Dock and within the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park.
Some sections of the route are currently inaccessible to wheelchair users due to gradients, path surfaces, and narrow sections.
Due to the nature of The Line – located along public pathways outdoors – we are not able to make infrastructure and built environment accessibility improvements to the route because different sections are owned by different landowners.
We work with stakeholders to encourage accessibility improvements and have tried to provide as much information below that will respond to various access needs. If you need information on this website in a different format, like accessible PDF, large print, easy read, or audio recording: email – info@the-line.org
