Peregrine Falcon

In 1998 two peregrine falcons made their nest in the roof of the Millennium Mills building and raised two chicks. While they haven’t seemingly returned to the Mill, peregrines are still nesting in the Royal Docks area.

With their broad wings and sharp talons, peregrine falcons are formidable hunters, typically preying on wading birds, pigeons and small ducks. They are also thought to target the rabbits that can be seen hopping around the quieter areas of the Docks.
